BEAUTIFUL IN RED

"The standout on each track is Moore’s voice, which is sometimes layered on top of itself 5+ times to form warm and lush harmonies. It’s a knockout.” –partyends.com (Austin)
Three writing retreats in Marfa, Texas and a season spent on Toronto Island have steeped this album in wide open skies and the company of philosophical cowboys, rogue artists, and one-eyed banjo players. These are desert songs, ghost songs, love songs, and sea songs. And from the first strains of pedal steel that open the album to its gentle closing elegy, Beautiful in Red captures her ability to command an audience’s attention – even an audience of the rowdiest Texan barflies.
Beautiful in Red (released independently in May 2013) was engineered and co-produced by Heather Kirby of Ohbijou and mastered by Gavin Gardiner of The Wooden Sky.

Charms

CHARMS, Jessica’s folk duo with Gabe Levine, released their self-titled album in 2010 and have shared stages with the likes of SNOWBLINK, BRY WEBB, and members of GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR, to name a few. Her song Honey Would You Call My Name was chosen as a top local song on CBC’s Fresh Air in 2011. The duo’s focus on harmonies, honest lyrics, and subtle instrumentation makes this a strong modern folk album.
